What can I say? It's the best KOF game ever. It's a game that makes me want to turn on my ps2 and play.
What's new in it? Well there's more fapgirls (momoko <3) and now it's not fucking impossible to use special moves. KOF is now a playable game. =D

Zero no Tsukaima is awesome for it's got:
-SnS voice actors
-tsundere <3
-fanservice

So yesterday at night I was having a fucking head ache. Hate it. So this friend of mine (he posted here as fabiank before I think) was like, "Take this pill (it was some kind of aspirin), it'll make you feel better". Indeed, it killed the head ache.
But after, wow. A few hours after that I was all hyper. And on the way home I went emo. And at home (just a while ago) I wouldn't stop doing stupid movements with my hands even though I KNEW I was doing it because of the caffeine in that shit (50mg or so. doesn't seem like it though) and I WANTED not to do stupid things. That and me saying stupid shit in irc and aim.
Ironically, earlier today I was talking about how cool it'd be to have some ice. Yeah right I couldn't be more wrong. This was terrible lol.

Anyways now I'm normal, or maybe not since I'm updating this journal instead of...sleeping...*sigh*

Not long ago the japanese magazine Famitsu released a top100 of the best games ever in their opinion. I've been wanting to comment on this for a while, and this was the trigger for me to do it:

Ok so here it goes... I'll comment on the ones I've played.

1. Final Fantasy X (2001)

Do I have to say anything? The story is boring, the characters piss me off (except Rikku, she's hot o_o), and the english dub doesn't make it any better. The only good thing about this game is the blitzball. And the battle system (sphere grid and all). Ok let's be honest, it's one of the best soundtracks from final fantasys. But still, having to listen to Yuna whining "WAH...I...HAVE...TO...SAVE..SPIRA! WAH" makes playing this game not worth it. I'd put it somewhere in the top25~30 I think.

2. Final Fantasy VII (1997)

Awesome story, awesome music, awesome battle system. No, this game is not overrated like lots like to say. That's just the ff7-hate fad. Yes, I'd put it in the top10~15, but not in the 2nd place.

7. Tactics Ogre (1995)

I like this game. It's one old school tactical RPG. Fun and all, the story is awesome, battle system too, music and graphics not so well. Not worth of 7th place.

10. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)

Also knowns as Legend of Zelda: Waste of Time in my book. I hate this game. The first attempt at a 3D zelda failed miserably. Shitty graphics (what the fuck? they used pre-rendered static backgrounds in some maps), gay story. Majora's Mask is waaaaay better than this. Far from top10.

20. Streetfighter II (1992)

Man I agree with them. This is one of the best fighting games ever.

21. Super Mario Bros (1985)

SMB3 was way better.

22. Final Fantasy VIII (1999)

Dunno where exactly in the top100, but this, as the best FF ever, should be above all other FFs. Awesome music, graphics (no more fucked up 3D models), story and battle system.

24. Final Fantasy IX (2000)

Let's see... I liked 2 songs from this game, the battle system sucked, party system sucked, story was lame, characters pissed me off and the shitty SD models are back. I'd put this in the top200~400.

25. Final Fantasy VI(1994)

omg. One of the best FFs ever. How can ff10 be better than this piece of art? Good soundtrack, awesome battle system, graphics as good as those of Chrono Trigger (just like the soundtrack, heh) and the story rocked. 4th best FF. Can't forget Gau. And the part at the phantom train.

26. Metal Gear Solid 3 (2004)

I'll be honest, I never played this game, just saw some friends playing through over 10 times. Well I played it once but I fell in some abyss right at the beggining. I did play MGS1 though, and I loved it. Ok, about MGS3... Awesome music, awesome story (jesus it IS fucking awesome), awesome battle techniques (cqc ftw), graphics are like, WOW for ps2... Yeah, this is one of the best games ever. Top10 plz.

28. Chrono Trigger (1995)

I don't even need to comment. This game changed my life, and it should be at 1st place. Yasunori Mitsuda did an awesome job with this soundtrack. I mean wow, out of the 64 songs, I can't dislike a single one of them. Now his work on Xenogears was a failure, but that's for another time. Graphics? I'd say the best sprites in SNES/old school rpgs. I mean wow, Square did a great job with this! Story? Fuck, I don't have to mention...Masato Kato is brilliant. Battle system is just perfect. One of the best in RPGs. It amazes me that no other Square game did this afaik, just ff10 but oinly in special cases. Now what pissed me off about this Famitsu top100,
CT is 28th. wtf. I'd understand if they put good shit like the awesome final fantasies and awesome games like perfect dark and super mario 64. But nooooo, just take a look at what's above CT:

35. F-Zero (1990)

Overrated nintendo fanboyism GO. I've tried playing this game several times, either because lots of nintendo fanboys friends told me to, or because I wanted to (it looks really cool, and I have a thing for mode7 games). Yeah it gets boring. I wish this was better. In place of this game, I'd put, say, Rock'n'Roll Racing. Now THAT was awesome.

36. Sakura Taisen II (1998)

Ok, I wonder what's so good about those Sakura Taisen games. Seeing it so many times in this list makes me want to play it. Well, that's until I remember what those guys think it's the best game ever.

39. Virtua Fighter (1994)

The genesis (32x) version was slow, but it looked cool.

41. Zelda Windwaker (2002)

50. Metal Gear Solid (1998)

Overrated and gets old after 1 hour playing it.

53. Romancing Saga (1992)

Awesome. I agree with the position though.

56. Resident Evil 2 (1998)

This is the best RE of all the series. Waaaay better than RE1, and waaaaaaay better than RE3 too. Not gameplaywise when compared to 3, but story-wise, fuck yeah. I've played it over 50 times at least. And gah gotta love Leon, Sherry is hot, so is Claire, Lickers fucking own, the puzzles are awesome, so is the soundtrack...And the weapons...I forgot the name now, but Claire had a cool shock weapon.This would be in the top10.

61. Super Mario World (1990)

Love this game. I hacked it for 3 years or so. Have played though it shitloads of times. One of the best mario 2D games, if not the best. Should have a better position.

69. Super Mario Kart (1992)

This is the best racing game ever. Better than the n64 version. The mode7 graphics are awesome, the game is super fun. I still have fun playing it. I just wish snes could support 4 players and internetplay back in the day :P. Top20, at LEAST.

75. Gran Turismo 4 (2004)

I think they put this in the list because lots of people are addicted to cars. Else, I wouldn't see a reason to put it in. The controls never respond. Controlling the car feels more like controlling a tank. I don't care if tries to make it REAL OMG! It gets boring and stupid. You can never win.

76. GTA: Vice City (2004)

This game, with cheats, is made of awesome and win. Gotta love to kill people randomly. The soundtrack is awesome, I downloaded most of the mp3s that play in the radio. The best thing is that you can play it with a friend (at least in the ps2 version). It amazes me that the japanese liked this game, too. o_o

80. Streetfighter 2 Turbo (1993)

This is just street fighter. Shouldn't be here. For SNES, anyway. The other versions who got a Special Move bar aren't that better, since the precision needed to use those moves is insane. I'll get to love Zelda OOT before I use one of those moves.

84. Final Fantasy Tactics (1997)

What. This is the second best FF ever. So what the translation was fucked up? The battle system rocked and you could understand most of the story. It's nothing like it's successor (FFTA), so it's worth to play it. Hell yeah it is. Awesome soundtrack too, and the graphics are just kickass. Best tactical rpg ever. Should be in the place where Tactics Ogre is right now.

97. Secret of Mana (1993)

What? 97th? One of the best SNES rpgs is 7th? The fuck is wrong with the japanese, anyway?

99. Super Mario Bros III (1988)

This should be top10'd. Although I don't agree that the 1988 version is that good (yeah I like graphics), the SMAS one is just awesome. Forget what I said about SMW, this is the best Mario 2D game. Love the music, the gameplay, graphics, etc. Everything.


Now this list is waaaay beyond fucked up. At least it wasn't as bad as IGN's (LOL I'm not even going to comment on that one XD), but wow. People have such shitty tastes. It lacked Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda MM, Super Metroid, Armored Core... There isn't a single MMO in this top100, or FPS. That's just lame.
Some other day I'll put my own top100 online.

So what's been happening lately...

Addicted to Shakugan no Shana since december, I pretty much vanished from all the acmlmboard drama (yay?). Last ep of SnS sucked. Hopefully the movie will be better. I got the game for PS2 too (illegally).
Another anime I'm watching is Fate/Stay Night. Although the first ep is boring as hell, this anime is pretty good. I never thought I'd see an anime of this Typemoon masterpiece.
Started learning japanese now. Different from my attempts to learn swedish last year, this time it's for real. 16 kanas to finish hiragana. I know, that's not a lot, but at least it's something.

In other news, I got back to Warcraft. And a friend of mine teached me how to play the game without sucking double cocks. Now I'm unbeatable. At least against computer. Reid owned me the other day.

I'm doing good at school. I've passed the the first phase of the college admission exam. I got 578.42 points, that's pretty average-high. I just need to study like a crazy fucker those next months for the second phase =o!

And right now, I'm reading 2 books: (yeah, knuck is reading books. Thank Wotan for that) "The Prince" by Machiavelli (duhr, Andrew gets bonus points for not knowing what book was this >_>) and "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu (duhr again).
